What the Bible Says
In Matthew 28:18-20, Jesus tells his followers, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything that I have commanded you.” Spreading the gospel allows us to collaborate with the Holy Spirit in the mission to awaken the people to the power of Jesus Christ. However, evangelism does not have to entail giving your best Christian sales pitch to anyone who will listen. Sharing the gospel isn't just about bringing in new converts; it's about creating a strong relationship with God.
